We know there are always people looking for an excuse to make a racing road trip ... how about taking a trip to the Syracuse Mile to see the Silver Crown season finale, marking the first time the Silver Crown Series has raced at Syracuse since J.J. Yeley won there in 2003. The race is Saturday, Oct. 11, of the Columbus Day Weekend with practice on Friday. It's all part of the 43rd NAPA Super DIRT Week, which is the biggest dirt racing event of the year in New York. You can check out www.SuperDIRTWeekOnline.com for more information.
My father-in-law lives in Syracuse and I will be up there for the Patriots game in Buffalo on the 12th so I'm making my wife drop me off at the fairgrounds on her way through Saturday morning. Anybody willing to let me drop by their camper for a beer? Lol
Does anyone have a car count number? I am sure hoping they have a good field of cars. Hopefully the eastern guys will bring some cars out of mothballs & most of the regulars will make the trip. Syracuse usually has a great crowd when the weather cooperates.
