For immediate release:

The SSMS announces Lucas Oil will be returning as the series sponsor for the Southern States Midget Series in 2017. Lucas Oil partners with some of the best in the racing industry and has seen the growth of this young series that is turning many heads in the south. As a partner with the SSMS, Lucas Oil expands deeper into the midget ranks of Division II midgets that has shown incredible growth the last few years from the Midwest to New England area and down South.

Not only do the SSMS have races scheduled from Carolinas, Tenn, Ga, Ala. to Fl., with several 2 day shows, the Lucas Oil Southern States Midget Series also is one if not the biggest paying Division II series in the nation.

The SSMS would like to say thank you to Lucas Oil and everyone that made this happen and are looking forward to an even bigger 2017 racing season.

Payout for 2017...as you can see it is a progressive one. The SSMS had an average of 18 cars in 2016 and with more cars being bought or built here in the south and races closer to the Mason Dixon line we will see that avg. will go up in 2017 especially with the 2 day shows.
