2021 MPD Racing / BOSS Finalized Schedule

The new race season is just 2 months away from opening night at Waynesfield Raceway Park on March 27th. The officials from the MPD Racing BOSS series have been busy preparing for the 2021 tour and some small changes have taken place in scheduling.

The pair of events at Skyline Speedway on April 10 and July 17 have been removed from the schedule after contract issues arose between the property owner and the prospective track promoter. The Saturday, May 1st event, originally scheduled for Fremont Speedway, has also been removed from the schedule, however, there are 3 other events at Fremont still on as originally scheduled.

Other changes will see the Saturday, June 5th date at Twin Cities Raceway Park backed up one week to Saturday, June 12th. Finally, the TBA date for Saturday, August 28th has been filled with an event at Twin Cities Raceway Park.

The new standard purse for BOSS events will pay the following: 2000, 1000, 750, 650, 550, 500, 450, 425, 400, 375, 350, 340, 330, 320, 310, 300, 300, 300, 300, 300. We are working to renew our heat race and bonus award sponsorships for the new year. Teams will still earn heat race cash for the top 4 paying 40, 30, 20, 10. Several bonus awards will pay $50 cash along with some product awards. As always, there are no membership fees or entry fees.

With help from MPD Racing, All Star Performance and Hoosier Racing Tire Midwest, the BOSS tour champion will take home $5,000 of a $22,500 point fund that will spread across the top 15 in the final standings. Drivers must compete in 75% of completed events to be eligible for the fund. As is tradition, there will be one "drop" for teams to throw out their worst night.

The "tow bonus" is still in effect for full time teams and will now guarantee a minimum $350 to start or $150 if you miss the main event. The first 3 events will go off 2020 final point standings (top 9 eligible) but after event number 3, it will go off of current 2021 points and will include the top 15 in points.

The new tire rule is now in effect and is a 4 corner Hoosier rule. The fronts and left rears are open to any Hoosier, however, the right rear now must be the H15, H20, Medium, W18 or Racesaver Spec Tire. You do NOT have to run the same right rear all night.

Hopefully I'll make it over to Moler. It rained last time I was there and the heats were looking good before the rain.....

Interesting that they scheduled a show in Indiana to compete against Smackdown at Kokomo since they were not part of the program this year.

Thank you for understanding.
We took into account many factors before scheduling this race. We felt that with an over 100 mile and 2+ hours of separation that there was more than enough to not take away from Kokomo Speedway and the O'connor family.
We simply had an amazing opportunity to host a second BOSS race and we took it. Plain and Simple.
We look forward to working with Aaron and BOSS twice this year and the FAST series.

Thanks
