Whatever will fill the pits and the stands I guess.
I got to race the Belleville Nationals back in 2001 and it was an experience to remember. I spent the night in the hospital after being hit by another car after avoiding a wreck in front of me. I still have the helmet I was wearing sitting on a shelf with a huge dent where the other car's front bumper hit it. Looking back, I feel lucky to have survived and to have escaped with as few injuries as I did. The "big fast" nature of the track is what holds it appeal, but also keeps some away as the danger level is quite high. I hope that whatever class of cars runs there is a success for their fair. The people putting on this event are top notch in every respect and I wish them well in their future endeavors. |

With USAC notifying the Fair Amusement Committee by phone text late in the scheduling season, all of the other Midget sanctioning bodies had their schedule in place.
Belleville had to ring in the best show possible to fill their date. Good Luck to them |

I spent the last 34 years at
the Midget Nationals. Lots of memories. Always enjoyed the NCK Fair. Visiting with friends was always a highlight. Sure will miss not being in Belleville in 2018. Best Regards, John

Besides USAC and POWRi there is not another sanctioning body that could take on that show. |
