DAVEY HAMILTON, JR. SET FOR DUAL RACE WEEKEND IN INDY

Third generation racer Davey Hamilton, Jr., 20, will embark on a big weekend in Indianapolis, competing in 600 laps of competition in two of the most prestigious asphalt open wheel races in the country.* Hamilton will compete in the 69th Annual Pay Less Little 500 and the USAC Carb Night Classic this weekend.

Hamilton's 2017 campaign has been one of his most varied and includes nearly 70 races across North America.

"I'm extremely excited for the opportunity to compete in these two events during the Month of May," Hamilton, Jr. said.* "Both cars and teams are very strong and will give me what I need to run up front in each race.* I can't wait!"

The Friday night USAC Silver Crown race is a 100-lap affair on the .686-mile Lucas Oil Raceway oval in Brownsburg, Indiana.* Hamilton will be driving for Fred Gormly in the RPM #98 that he drove at Phoenix Raceway in April.* He looks to bounce back from an engine failure and run strong in his third-career series start.* The race has an 8:15 p.m. start as part of USAC's "Week of Indy" festivities and the second running of the Friday night classic.

Hamilton’s lone appearance in a Silver Crown car at LOR came in July of 2014 where he qualified 18th and finished 11th at the “Rich Vogler Classic.”

The weekend concludes Saturday night with the Little 500 at Anderson (Ind.) Speedway.* Davey will climb aboard the #1 Bob East/Terry Klatt/DHR Sprint Car for 69th annual edition of the 500-lap grind that includes live pit stops and will be available through live internet PPV coverage on http://www.SpeedShiftTV.com/ for any race fans who cannot attend.* The race will begin at 8pm.

The Little 500 includes one of the toughest entry lists in event history including Ken Schrader and Tony Stewart among others.* Hamilton aims to build off his prior success on the lightning fast Anderson Speedway quarter-mile.* This will mark Hamilton's third consecutive Little 500 with a Rookie of the Race and sixth-place overall in 2015 before a ninth-place finish in 2016.* A top-five finish and challenging for the overall victory is the gameplan this go around.
