‪Two inches of rain fell on Gas City I-69 Speedway overnight, forcing track officials to cancel tonight’s season opener.‬

“I hate it, but most of our parking is unusable, and though sealed off, the track is very wet as well with the rain and overall underground saturation," said track promoter Jerry Gappens.

“Athough it’s supposed to clear off, we cannot undo in a few hours what Mother Nature has done the past 16 hours. We will try again next Friday night,” Gappens said.
