GASS IS KING OF MONARCH IN USAC WSO OPENER

Wichita Falls, Texas (June 5, 2020)………Noah Gass captured the victory in Friday night’s USAC Wingless Sprints Oklahoma season opener at Monarch Motor Speedway in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Gass, of Mounds, Okla., led from start to finish in the 20-lap main event after starting from the outside of the front row.* The only stoppage of the night came on lap 10 when 16-year-old Emilee Lowry flipped between turns three and four.* She was okay.

From there, Gass, who made feature starts in USAC AMSOIL National Sprint Cars and USAC NOS Energy Drink National Midgets in 2019, carried onto victory over T.J. Herrell (Wichita Falls, Texas), Ty Hulsey (Owasso, Okla.) and two-time and defending champion Brett Wilson (Coweta, Okla.), with Cameron Hagin (Broken Arrow, Okla.) rounding out the top-five.

Larry’s Marine Center of Wichita Falls, Texas added a trio of awards to the event. *Gass picked up an extra $250 bonus in addition to the winner’s share while Hagin took home a bonus as the feature hard charger by finishing 5th after starting 12th.* Ninth place finishing Alison Slaton (Edmond, Okla.) earned a bonus as the last car on the lead lap of the feature at the checkered flag.
