Sorry about that>anything happening in your world of interest?

Did you know that USAC sanctions a MOPAR division Midget class on the east coast?? They are powered with the little Dodge Neon Motor. Kind of neat don't you think?

Bet you already knew> They call them Speedstr's Bet you can't guess the name of a famous driver that is racing in them things?

So why do you need 15 classes? If you can do this, You can do a sprinter or a midget and put in it what you can afford.

Quality is sometime better than quanity when putting on a race. Those kids race close, don't they. I see 2 more drivers that could move up with proper backing.

Now back to the Speedstr cars click on link below.

Have you watched these cars race? If so do they put on a good show?

I do apologize if somehow I've offended anyone. Someone else had suggested some sort of a forum to come up with a name to take some of the confusion surrounding the various groups who are making noble efforts at doing basically the same thing; provide an opportunity to race something approaching an Elite-level Midget race car, but in a more affordable platform. Sounded like fun. Thought I'd give it a shot. No other agenda, no need to feed my ego, no desire to see my name at the top of an internet message board. I even asked for people to be respectful, to honor Bill's desire for this place not to be a bashing ground. Funny, the ones who post on here to flame us for wanting to keep a subject at the top of the board did exactly that, put it back on top....
So, only 57 votes so far; some of that may be my fault for not setting the poll up correctly. Again, my apologies and thanks for the 57 that have voted. Thanks too, for those of you who tried to hold to the ground rules I posted on the original thread. Mostly, thanks to groups like IMRA, SSMS, BAM, Steve Nace & Jay Tinder at DuQuoin and especially to Harold and his Montpelier Midget Series for having a vision for something that some of you who are not involved may not understand. After all, if people can't afford to race, one day there may be no racing to see.

I don't have a dog in this fight(?), but it would seem the best thing to call them would what the fans coming to the races most identify with. IE if your area is a strong sprint car area then call them mini sprints. If strong midget call them some sort of midget. It really doesn't matter what you want to be, but does matter what the promoters can sell.

Midget racers should be living in their "Golden Age" right now. We have all of these small very powerful motors laying around in Junk Yards all over the country and people are just beginning to realize that HEY this motor would work great in a Midget.

Neon >>>>>USAC >>>>>off of the radar screen completely.

They have some top notch drivers and run both Pavement and Dirt, who could ask for anything more.
