!!! BLOOMINGTON SPEEDWAY 3
WEATHERMAN 4 !!!

BLOOMINGTON, IN (May 24, 2008) – Rainouts still aren’t fun! Unfortunately, there still is absolutely nothing that promoters, racers, or fans can do about them except maybe broaden the vocabulary of those within earshot. I sat at the top of the stands this evening watching Mike Miles and his crew running the track in. Sometimes, when the rain is coming down lightly, you can keep up with track. And, you’re ready to go racing when the rain stops. In theory, that’s how it works. In practice, it isn’t quite that easy. While you have a track that you can race on, the entrance and exit to the track as well as the pit area probably aren’t usable. However, we didn’t have to worry about that; because the rain never stopped..

One of the reasons that Bloomington Speedway enjoys the reputation that it has is that Mike Miles will get the show in if there is any way to do it. Last night we simply got to the point at which there was no way the races could be run; and, to make matters worse, the weather radar promised nothing but more rain. Mike did the only thing that he could do. He declared that the race was rained out.

Be sure to be with us next Friday night (May 30) when we will host the King of Indiana Sprint Series (KISS) for their visit to the red clay. The O’Neal Wood Products Modified and Tire & Wheel Center Super Stocks will also be in competition.
