I have never been to Lawrenceburg, and I am considering going August 22 to the late model show and camping in a tent. Any comments or suggestions? All appreciated

From the Faq page
Can I camp at the speedway? Yes, camping is available. we have electric and water hookups on a limited amount. There is no fee for camping and camping is first come first served. All we ask is that you keep your area clean. On the 1st Sunday of each month there is a Antique show at the fairgrounds, campers need to move by midnight on Saturday and can camp by the motorcycle track on those nights. My personal input. Shaded areas inside the fenceing are good for tents. The fairgrounds has two restrooms. One has a shower but is probably cold One is almost always open. No campfires without a above ground fire pit inside the fencing Have fun, They have big trash cans around teh grounds. Keep it clean and its free!

I would recommend setting up camp under one of the pavilions the one near the pit entrance has water and electricity should you need it
