BURROWS BURIES IMRA FIELD AT SPOON RIVER

Canton, Illinois (September 18, 2021)………Brent Burrows buried the field all night long during Saturday night’s USAC Engler IMRA SpeeD2 Midget event at Spoon River Speedway in Canton, Ill.

Burrows (Lewistown, Ill.) went undefeated throughout the evening, winning both his heat race and the 20-lap feature, which went green to checker without interruption.

Patrick Ryan led the opening three laps before Burrows raced by on lap four and led the field for the remaining 17 circuits.*

Burrows’ third career IMRA victory, and first of the year, came with Will Armitage (Athens, Ill.) second, Tyler Roth (Springfield, Ill.) third, Shane Morgan (Creve Coeur, Ill) fourth and Ryan (Springfield, Ill.) fifth.

Series point leader Mark McMahill finished seventh, but still holds a commanding 62-point lead going into the final two events next weekend.
