Brandon Gray Wins at Rushville
By Alex Wollf

Brandon Gray won the second feature of his UMRA career on Monday night at the Rush County Fairgrounds in Rushville. The win came in a hard fought 25-lapper where on two separate occasions Gray had passes for the lead negated by cautions. The third time would prove to be a charm as he took the lead with three laps to go and never looked back as he took a prestigious Fourth of July Rushville win. CJ Leary finished second, Jason Goff was third, Ron Combs was fourth and Robbie Roland rounded out the top five.
Quick time was Terry Goff at 12.398 seconds. The trophy dash was won by Jason Goff. The ten-lap heat races went to Rob Walton, Brandon Gray, and CJ Leary.
The $50 from the Tony Stewart “Smoke The Field” Challenge was won by rookie Logan Arnold who went from 20th to 10th in the feature. As a result of a hard flip at the start of the first heat race Trent Henderson received the $50 for the Green-Tech Lubricants “Hard Luck” Award.
The next race for the UMRA is this Friday night at the Decatur County Fairgrounds in Greensburg.
