Great for all the cars that showed up!

Does anyone have details about some of the names (at least one) that also ran the Wingless class? Different cars? Anyone run a Wingless style engine?

Always great when USAC is over "this way"! I missed the Friday show at MIS and this Wilmot show, but will have more chances to catch them at area tracks next year.

USAC brought 14 cars. Not many locals to run. The locals there run a spec engine, and ran their show separately. I thought it was a good show. The local guys raced pretty good, but were slower than the travelers.

Also gotta figure a few looked at the forecast for the weekend and diidn't make the trip. Not sure where Brandon Mattox stands. No Baldwin, Garrett ran Haubstadt. Was still a good hard fought race.

21-14=7. Where did those 7 cars come from? Just curios if anyone has any inside info. Appears as though Rossman ran both classes. Is the Wingless engine not allowed in USAC? Last I knew it was carbureted (which I don't know if thats allowed in USAC or not).

I know Dan Wade & Greg Alt ran 604 crate engines with USAC at Wilmot, for sure, which they use in the Wisconsin Wingless division. Some others installed a 410 for the event.

Rossman ran the Hajduk #21 at Wilmot with a Claxton Mopar, a car which has a bunch of history and has run extensively in Indiana and USAC competition over the years.

Jeremy Kerzman out of Minnesota has run his carbureted sprint car with the USAC National series at Huset's and even went down to Florida to run at Ocala a couple years back. So, it's definitely not unprecedented.
