Usually the large series Woo, USAC, ASCS, and others release their initial schedule at the PRI show on Dec. 11-13. Most local tracks are not out till January or February timeframe.

Eldora major dates have been released on their site. The Knoxville Nationals are from August 12th - 15th. The Lucas Oil Late Models is the only only entire schedule I've seen for any kind of dirt series so far.

If you have specific dates you are looking for you can call and they will tell you. I have to do my vacation time in December so I have always called usac and asked when midget and sprint week is.

This is actually one of the ways that I spend the time in December. I will start putting my racing schedule together for next year. You can go to the larger tracks, and they will have their schedules out before the PRI show. You can start to piece the schedule together by going to the different web sites. Then at the PRI show the real schedules come out. I then will spend January/February working on the smaller tracks schedules to create my schedule for the following year.

Of course in February I am going to 60 shows a year, but it never happens that way for real.

Definitely would make life a lot easier if more schedules were available close to the end of the previous season, even if they are TBA or tentative. It definitely helps when it comes to planning for things like vacation time, planning camping/lodging, and so on. I understand to a point why some wait for PRI as there are LOTS of eyeballs from all walks of motorsports in town. Nature of the way things are. Only way it ever changes is if someone bucks the trend like the Lucas Oil Late Models and do it close to the end of their previous season.
