Hey everyone. I have a new chassis and my current butler built seat will not fit in the car due to the added safety bars. The seat was built for someone else but fit me well enough.

Problem is I'm finding out that a new butler will still be basically the same dimensions. So far what I've found online is Kirkey has bolt on head rests. Are these seats good? All I see is people running mostly butler built or ultra shield. Just trying to get some opinions please. Thank you!

I'm not in a sprint car, but personally I love my Kirkey. It's a 27 Series, and the head support is bolted on and has different heights you can put it at. It also did very good when I flipped at Montpelier last year. This was no easy tumble either. 6-7 flips and traveled from start to finish about 450 feet.

If there isn’t room to put your seat in your car, how are you going to exit if you need to get out in a hurry?

Has nothing to do with it. Find a pic of how the Butlerbuilt headrest is braced.

I have a Type 27 in my Midget. Had a big flip last year, seat did everything it needed to do.

There is plenty of room for me to get out of the car. Side and top if I without the wing. Problem is the butler seats are very wide and the halo, outlaw mandated support bars, and the side intrusion protection hoop just make it impossible to get the seat into the cockpit.

Ultrashield might also work well and they are also really good seats.

I use both Butlerbuilt and Kirkey seats. Feel the same after lawn darting with either one. Way better than the old days
