Thunder Valley Raceway in Salem Indiana has just raised the bar...
Steve and Misty Leonard, promoters of Thunder Valley, has just raised the bar by throwing a big bone out there for upcoming MMSA event Saturday night September 8th!
A challenge has been thrown out there and I accepted it on MMSA’s behalf!
If OVER 20 entries come this Saturday they are willing to pay $800 to win!!!!!
With that being said, I felt it was a need for MMSA to contribute to this event.
If OVER 20 entries Thunder Valley will guarantee $800 to win and MMSA will guarantee $100 to start the A-main!
This is a non-winged event!
Let’s support the 1/5th mile dirt racetrack, for they have supported our MMSA efforts for many years.
Please share and let’s have some fun come Saturday.......Kevin

Elletsville Indiana's Brandon Coffey drove his AMI Roofing Contractors, HD Lawncare, Hoosier Family Chiropractic, and Fox Cycle Sales into victory lane this past Saturday night at Thunder Valley Raceway. This was Brandon's second victory of 2018, bagging the top prize of $800 to take back home.
The evening started out will 22 MMSA lightning sprints checking in, thus forming 3 heat races for the series. Heat race action saw Dean Parker, Jac Nickels and Austin Powell lead their competitors to the checkers in the preliminary events,
Feature time came and all 22 sprints made the call to the track. After the electrifying four wide salute to the fans in the stands, they took their starting positions, two by two by two 11 rows deep.
The green flew Brandon would jump out front to lead the first portion of the event with young Jac Nickels nipping at his back side. Tim Light would show some strength early on but to fall slowly through the field with an ill handling car. This left Brandon Smith trying to take the top spot. At one time Smith did take the lead but a turn four spin of Jeff Schidler would retrack the pass.
Top ten Saturday were Coffey, Smith, Trammell, Miller, Strunk, Powell, Parker, Haas, Chambers. and Schidler. Miller and Brad Strunk would start their charge to the front. Miller would hold onto a fourth place finish while Strunk would come from 19th in the field to a top 5 finish. Coffey would endure not 1 but 5 restarts to maintain at the top of the 22 car feature.
Coffey drives number 22, there were 22 entries, he started in row 2 of heat, he finished 2nd in heat and now sets tied for 2nd in the chase for the championship.
Top ten Saturday were Coffey, Smith, Trammell, Miller, Strunk, Powell, Parker, Haas, Chambers. and Schidler
Next MMSA event is Saturday night October 6th at Twin Cities Raceway in North Vernon IN.

Only two races left in 18....
Who’s going to be in the top 20 in MMSA points and receive a complete feature payout at the banquet?
Along with that comes the always exciting
go-kart race to claim the traveling trophy for a year....
Plus, if your a USAC member, they also pay top 10, good luck!

Saturday October 6th at Twin Cities Raceway Park will be MMSA’s next event!
Gates open 3:00, drivers meeting 5:30 hot laps and racing to follow.

Drivers incentives coming....
