Danville Mystery Solved

My Danville 1988 photo mystery has been solved. Steve Thomas led me to the 1988 WoO schedule that showed the tour in Wisconsin on July 10 & July 11 and then Santa Fe on July 14 and July 15. The 2nd Annual Vermillion County Open Competition Sprint Car Classic was run on Wednesday, July 13th. Tom Schmeh hit the Knoxville Museum archives for me and found the July 20th issue of NSSN that had the story. Joey Allen was the feature winner. Doug Wolfgang, Rocky Hodges, Danny Lasoski and Chris Eash rounded out the top five. Thanks to everyone who helped me with my research. I should have dated those old NSSN negative sleeves!
