BC39 DRAFT PARTY SET TO KICK OFF FESTIVITIES AUG. 17

The Driven2SaveLives BC39 powered by NOS Energy Drink gets amped up on Tuesday, August 17, the night before the dirt flies at The Dirt Track at IMS with the BC39 Draft Party.

Make your way to the Brickyard Crossing located at 4400 W. 16th Street in Indianapolis, Ind. where drivers will choose their heat race positions for the opening night (August 18) of the Driven2SaveLives BC39 Powered by NOS Energy Drink.

All cars entered will be randomized into picking order for the heat race draft. *Teams will be able to pick their heat race spot, either in person with a representative or remotely through USAC officials. *Any unrepresented team will be given the first available spot. *The heat race position draft is open to the public with team members getting priority into the Brickyard Crossing.

Teams without representation at the Draft Party will move to the bottom of the draft selection order.

The kickoff event is a fan-friendly celebration with IMS, the Indiana Donor Network, NOS Energy Drink, USAC drivers and officials to host a fan friendly party for the BC39 featuring drivers, displays, food and beverages. The party runs from 6pm Eastern to 9pm with the draft set to begin at 6:30pm.

Nearly 50 drivers have already entered the two-night racing spectacular including NASCAR’s Chase Elliott, Ryan Newman and Chase Briscoe, plus INDYCAR’s Conor Daly and USAC National champions Justin Grant, Tyler Courtney, Jerry Coons Jr., Russ Gamester and inaugural BC39 winner Brady Bacon, along with many more.

The BC39 officially gets underway on Tuesday, August 17, with team parking at Noon Eastern.* On track action begins Wednesday, August 18, beginning with the drivers meeting in the IMS Media Room at 2pm Eastern.* Public gates open at 3pm with cars hitting the track for practice at 4pm, followed by opening ceremonies at 7pm.* Heat races and the incredibly exciting Stoops Pursuit feature race will conclude the night’s racing action.

The finale, on Thursday, August 19, will have the public gates opening at 3pm and cars on track for practice at 4pm, with qualifying races to follow at 5pm.* Opening ceremonies are slated for 7:30pm and immediately followed by the main feature events, starting with multiple D-Mains and C-Mains, the semi-feature and the 39-lap main event.

This year’s Driven2SaveLives BC39 Powered by NOS Energy Drink also will be the conclusion of nearly a week of exciting action on the road course and The Dirt Track at IMS. The NASCAR-INDYCAR tripleheader takes place Aug. 13-15, with the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and NASCAR Xfinity Series conducting separate races Saturday, Aug. 14 and the NASCAR Cup Series racing on the IMS road course for the first time Sunday, Aug. 15.

Heard something about they're moving the stands to the other side of the track or something. Are they also adding more stands?

The seating chart on the IMS website shows the stand on what was the backstretch; makes it closer to the concession stand and restrooms and also allows a good view of the video board. Smart move, and it may allow more seats since it's not going to be pinched by the access road.

I am guessing they will be moving the Start/Finish line also, correct?

Considering they have a yard of bricks in the wall for the start finish line on the south side. I doubt it.
