I agree as it will probably cut into fan numbers at all three open wheel events on Saturday due to this change. Plans up in the air now. Just cancelled my hotel in Kokomo for Sunday as I thought the rainout Friday was going to be Sunday. I guess I was overthinking the scenario. I will remember this next year if rain is probable. The best part is there is racing in October!
I for one hope everything goes well for Anderson. As for kokomo, they really had no choice to alter the program to what it is other than just canceling it. Trying to park 300 haulers at 11am after a day of rain just isn't feasible imo. Being able to let the grounds dry some is crucial to being able to get both days in. 110 ish haulers compared to 300 is pretty significant. With gas city running next weekend and Montpelier the following with their 2 day there just wasn't much more kokomo could do. Hopefully everyone understands and I hope both places are successful. Everyone enjoy your Friday!

Yeah, the Kokomo think tank had to make a move and they made it. Life goes on. I like to think that no one in the room said, "Anderson is racing Saturday Night. Let's race THAT night." I am sure there were more variables that played into that decision, like the number of haulers as cwfan noted.
Sunday it now is for me. Been a long time since I have been to a daytime event. We'll see how ugly it gets with the mortifieds, as one member called them.
Chiming in live from the West Coast of Michigan.... Mike
Something I just noted on racer.com: Did you guys know there is racing at the Indy Road Course all weekend long? Sports cars. The finale is an 8 hour enduro on Sunday.
