Mike King publically apologized to the nice crowd for not having the track ready. Did not get any afternoon rain, and even though I think the track looks good, usac says it's still a lttle wet.
I support this promotional group for keeping the action track alive and the doors open. Even if it doesn't start until 8 pm

If they cant have the track ready on time, then Mike King has cut his own throat in regards to fan support. With the track history under Mr. Kings command, why would any sanctioning body schedule a race there? A track cannot survive on history and tradition alone, it must entertain in the present. My fears are that the shopping mall plans will win over the current situation. And THAT will be a tragedy!

In regards to the shopping mall comment. I have a feeling that with the 641 bypass going in, this prime area will lose value in that reagards (it is a far way off from being complete, but it will take away a lot of cars from taht area).

As for King and company, I have said before my thoughts on the current promotions team. Some racing is better then the allison era with lakes in the turns.
