White cars?

Just watched the new Powri race on YouTube and noticed at the start that in one frame you can see 13 white cars. Why are so many sprint cars white anymore? I think they look generic and incomplete. Like they wrecked the night before and just got it finished in time to make the gate. Just looking for other opinions. I tried to upload the screen grab from the video but I’m not that smart.

Cost and weight might be some of it.

Probably the same reason the other half of the field is all black cars.

I for one prefer a simple appearance over all the wrap/graphic.

I would say its because the body panels come in all white, and its more budget friendly to leave it as is, and just add decals for sponsors and numbers.

And people wonder the lack of appeal to kids.
When I first started going to the track, my favorite driver (besides my dad) was always the one with the sharpest looking car.
That's part of that first taste that draws you back as a kid.

While it is true that colorful cars are appealing, especially to the younger generations, it's not exactly cheap to wrap cars, haulers, etc and have all these catchy designs like we see on KTJ or Briscoe's cars.

One thing I have noticed when drivers do incorporate the crazy colors, it is MUCH harder to read their sponsor(s) names on their car. You see it a lot with modifieds. Or maybe it's just my poor eyesight.

I don't disagree with you on the costs and sponsorship visibility. And as we grow around racing, we quickly see the beauty in the driving and side by side racing. I guess I was just stating that the "prettier" cars help to draw the younger generation.

If my car was stopped on a dusty dirt track I'd hope it would be white, although it wouldn't be.
One persons opinion of whats pretty is another persons ugly. The crazy designs are the ugliest things on the track, they should save some money on the wraps if that's the outcome. Too bad classy is gone for good.
