33 RACES FOR USAC’S EAST COAST SPRINT CARS IN 2021

Speedway, Indiana (December 28, 2021)………Thirty-three events make up the 2022 schedule for the USAC Rapid Tire East Coast Sprint Cars Presented by Capitol Trailers.

All 33 feature events will pay at least $2,000 to win & $300 to start during the series’ fifth season of competition, which begins on April 2 at Bridgeport Motorsports Park, the first of five races at the New Jersey dirt oval.* The series returns to Bridgeport on April 30 and July 2 as well as a two-day show on October 29-30 with heats on Saturday and features on Sunday.* The series finale will take place there a week later on November 4.

Likewise, Pennsylvania’s Bloomsburg Fair Raceway will host five dates of its own on May 5, June 2, July 7, July 29 and August 18.

Three trips are slated for Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania’s Williams Grove Speedway on April 15, June 3 and July 8.* The April date will mark the inaugural Bill Gallagher Memorial, paying $5,000-to-win.

Like Williams Grove, Pennsylvania’s Bedford Speedway and New Jersey’s New Egypt Speedway will welcome the series on three occasions.* Bedford’s time comes April 22, May 20 and October 15.* New Egypt is the place to be on May 28, July 30 and October 22.

Two visits apiece are on tap for Pennsylvania’s Port Royal Speedway, Selinsgrove Speedway and Action Track USA in Kutztown.* The big half-mile of Port Royal will host on both April 23 and August 20 while the half at Selinsgrove is the location for a pair of stops on May 21 and August 6.* After a scintillating debut in 2021, the series returns to the Action Track USA bullring on July 13 and August 3.

One venue will make its debut on the USAC East Coast Sprint Car schedule in 2022 – Clinton County Speedway in Mill Hall, Pa. on August 19.* It’s one of eight tracks that’ll see the series make a single tour stop in the coming year along with Delaware International Speedway on April 29, Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pa. on May 14, Big Diamond Speedway in Pottsville, Pa. on May 27, and Abbottstown, Pa.’s Lincoln Speedway on June 4.

Throughout the summer months, USAC East Coast travels for lone visits to Middletown, New York’s Orange County Fair Speedway on June 30, Virginia’s Winchester Speedway on September 17, and once again in the first state of Delaware’s Georgetown Speedway on September 30.

Alex Bright (Collegeville, Pa.) is the series’ reigning champion after capturing the USAC East Coast title in 2021.* Steven Drevicki (Reading, Pa.) scored the first three series championships consecutively in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
