For sure I am jealous. Pretty good bargain for $25. Should be a good show. Keep an eye on Al.

Does anyone have the slightest inkling as to why hot laps began an hour and a half later than advertised?

Probably waited for Larson to arrive from Qualifying Nascar.

If that is the case then management pissed off a whole bunch of people to appease just one driver. Being pissed was totally justified, too.

We NEVER leave a track without seeing a feature or A-main but we left last night. Over here in rabid late model country we get a precious few USAC National midget and sprint events within an hour of our house. I fear after this painfully drawn out train wreck the prospects just dropped exponentially.

At least half of a very good crowd had bailed prior to the USAC midget B-main. By the time a new day had rolled around and we gave up and headed out there probably was only 25% left.

This event certainly had huge potential. 2 high quality divisions with no support class/classes. It sure didn't turn out like it could/should have, that's for sure.

Larson's absence might explain the ridiculously late starting time but that doesn't account for the huge periods of down time for no apparent reason. Other than the catch fence repair there was no apparent adequate justification. If there was we'd sure like to hear it. Not a peep of explanation was offered by the PA announcer while we were still there.

I thought the advertised time for hot laps was 7pm.They were only about 20 minutes late if that was true.I could be wrong as I'm very tired from a 4 and a half hour drive home after the races ended at 2:30 eastern.A very long drawn out show I thought.

Kenny, Kyle also confirmed that, during the victory lane interview, when he was thanking the fans for still being there.

I couldn’t agree more. For me it ruined a great night. We stayed to the end but it was painful. I tried to do what I could on here and on Twitter to promote this race, but I actually hope nobody came on my account. This is the closest track to me, about 35 miles approximately, and I’ve driven home from Eldora races and got home earlier. If they started late, I can deal with that as long as there’s some effort to catch up. If there was I didn’t see it. I was going to go back Monday for the Hell Tour race but not going to take a chance, I work Tuesday morning
And another thing, talk about stupid penalties. Larson gets disqualified for a crew person leaving the work area to look at the car under red, did nothing to it. I get there’s a rule for that, so fine them, or whatever. Different if they actually worked on the car. A huge price to pay for what was a complete non factor. And the ones who got penalized the most were the fans
