You would be surprised how competitive you are with the Midgets. Montpelier is a Great little race track. They groom it like a golf course. It's smooth fast and fun. If you don't believe me check the pictures of Doug two weeks ago racing with the Midgets. Sure looks like he is having fun and that is what he told me. http://mcevoyracingphotos.smugmug.co...9117&k=BntBGcZ

We got there late and had to start 7th or 8th in the last heat. We worked our way up to finish 11th in the 21 car Main and took home some serious cash. If the track has some moisture there are several cars that you probably can not beat, but if it slicks off it sure equals out the playing field for us.

If you haven't tried it "TRY IT YOU WILL LIKE IT" We run our Twin City gear>

Dad's Auto Sales has just committed to paying forward the extra $100.00 we won last time we raced at Montpelier to the "Sportsman Midget " part of the purse. The trick is to get 21 cars or more to sign in to race. That raises the purse to the first Sportsman across the line to AT LEAST $250.00 with 21 cars signed in to race. Second would be $210.00 and third would be $190.00. They are right on the cusp of 21 cars on their own, a few 1000cc Midgets would put them above the magic 21 cars, and would introduce some serious racing back in the middle of the pack, making a better show for the crowd in the stands, and after all besides our fun isn't that is the object of the game.

We have raced with the midgets on several occasions and done pretty good. A 1000cc Midget has come close to winning up there on several occasions. It's kinda of fun stepping out of your element ever so often. Just like in MMSA racing you will be racing with rookies as well as seasoned veterans and variety is the spice of life.

Did I mention they will probably shoot some super Pics of you to put in your scrap book!!!!

I just posted this on the MMSA web site. Not sure who is going where since there is also some non wing racing at both US 24 speedway and Macon Speedway this weekend. Might be changing my mind and heading up to watch some racing at Montpelier.

Andy

Thanks for the call. I sure am glad you did because we somehow thought it was a Sat night race only and the 2 race deal was next week. We almost missed that one. Guess we might be just a little.

This Saturdays (9/20) Fall Bawl MALS/MMSA race there will be NO pill draw or membership fee requirements.

We would also like to welcome Speed Partz who has come on with a $50 gift certificate for the feature hard charger award for the MALS/MMSA race at Lincoln park speedway. Speed Partz has recently changed ownership. Here is a quick letter from the new owners Tim Meyers and family.

"Hello to past SpeedPartz customers,

We recently acquired the longstanding business of SpeedPartz LLC. The folks at SpeedPartz have long been dedicated to providing parts and service to the motorcycle engine powered race car market. They had become known as specialists in the area of Lightning Sprints (previously known as mini sprints) and began offering a complete car in 2005, the FOZ, which continues to be very successful. They were know for their dedication and personal service. It is our intent to continue that approach.

We have been a manufacturer of racing wings and some other accessories for some time and are very excited now to expand and offer the FOZ cars and parts as well as parts for lightning sprints and many other cars in similar racing classes.
Your past business has been appreciated and we look forward to having the opportunity to serve you in the future.

The newest FOZ Lightning Sprints are being built and as a welcome we are offering some great discounts on chassis kits or complete cars. Call us for details on these or any other parts needs you have.

Please view our website at www.speedpartz.com or call us with orders or questions at 513-874-2034.

Looking forward to serving you,
Tim, Cory, Craig, Loretta – SpeedPartz LLC
