We've been thinking about going to Haubstadt for the Hustler race on Sept 13th. In the past when we went Bloomington was still running the Friday before so we'd go there then the next night to Tri-State. Now Bloomington & Gas City will be closed so we don't know of any Friday racing to supplement our trip. Anyone got any ideas? We prefer non wing sprints or midgets.

With all the incredible amount of responses, I'm assuming there isn't any racing the Friday before or the Sunday after the Hustler 50 at Tri-State Speedway, so I guess I'll nix this trip.

As good as the racing is in Indiana, it seem strange that it ends so early in the season. Pennsylvania racing cannot compare to what Indiana has, but our fans are way more diehard. They come out in droves from late February to early November. I guess you guys just don't know how good you have it.

They say its all high school football. When school starts the already weak crowd gets even weaker. Sprint week was always the turning point less cars and fans. Sorry for your loss but tri state will still be a good race.

According to their schedule they're running the Jackson 100 Tune Up" the same night as Haubstadt.

POWRI's running at Jacksonville on the night in question Jeff, but Jacksonville's a long damn way from Haubstadt.

Don't believe that'll happen; I was told that the previous promoter lost money every Friday he ran after school opened. And, yes, Jacksonville is a lonnngggg drive from Haubstadt!

Yeah it was a great weekend, as two years ago we did Bloomington on Friday, Haubstadt on Saturday & Waynefield for Jack Hewitt race on Sunday. A great way to end our Mid-West racing for the season.

Now I see that LPS, Larryburg & Waynesfield are all running the same night as the Hustler race. That really stinks for the fans, local or traveling. Then they wonder where the fans are.
