What a privilege it is to witness these two greats, especially when they roll onto the same dirt track. And yes, I will stand by calling them greats even with their youth and a lot of career left. Despite being in their mid twenties, they’ve both already accomplished things a lot of good racers will never approach.

Whenever these two wind up racing together, whether it’s a winged sprint or a midget, it seems to bring out the absolute best in the other. The last two Chili Bowls have been dominated by them and likely would’ve been back to back one-two finishes had Larson’s engine not expired in 2018. The last two turkey nights were one two finishes by them featuring thrilling duels between the two. The St. Louis race had them running first and second late until Larson crashed. Now we have last night in the history books despite the battle getting cut a little short in what I saw as a racing incident even if Larson was a little more at fault.

Even though I’m aware of their talent, I’m still amazed how they can hop in dirt cars a handful of times of year and consistently beat the best in USAC and WoO. I hope we get to continue to watch these two wage war on the dirt tracks for years to come.

Yep. Becoming a classic rivalry. A while back Larson said the guy he hated losing to most was Bell (even tho they're on the same midget team)

As a bleacher jockey the best case scenario is witnessing the most thrilling and exciting racing possible. It's what keeps us all chasing that next dirt track event. When Mr. Bell and Mr. Larson show up at a dirt track it's as close to a sure thing scenario as there is to being a perfect dirt track racing storm! During our years of chasing those perfect dirt track racing storms we've had the honor of witnessing some incredible exhibitions of skill, talent and bravery but none any more compelling than the show those two young men are capable of producing!

Rumble, young men rumble!!

Silver Crown Championship Dirt Cars properly driven on a one mile dirt track are classic poetry in motion. Using that analogy, Jack Hewitt is one of the greatest poets of all time.
