Weather or not?

Not going to jinx what looks to be a great weekend, but if all 3 USAC events happen this weekend any chance someone will sweep all 3 nights? Any guess on car counts for gas city and winchester? Will a local driver take the checker at gas city ahead of USAC regulars?

Not sure that anyone could take all three but I would give Darland, Cottle, and Hines the outside chance to do it. After his performance last Friday I would look for a big night from Steve Ott against the USAC regulars at Gas City. Billy P. as defending Gas City champ looms large as well. I just hope that we get all three in. There is a huge storm system coming from the west that stretches from Canada to Mexico and is scheduled to hit here, of course, Friday and stay for the weekend. Too big for a chance to miss us. I hope, however, that it stalls enroute and doesn't get here until at least Sunday night.

I would be more interested in what the car count at Winchester would be. Not counting the three support classes.

The entry list shows 22 car and driver combos, plus car#51 is entered without a driver.

I believe that it is 11:00 but it is lightly enforced.

Thanks Dwight. I was curious what happens if a rain delay occurs. We haven't decided yet if we are coming or not. Probably won't decide until Thur. night then leave about 7am Fri.morning.

Weather.com has 60% for Friday and 40% for Saturday. Anybody have anything better than that being reported locally ?

I'm coming in from the eastern half of PA and that would be a hell of trip to make just to get my car washed by Mother Nature.

I've checked several sites and they all pretty much show the same thing:

No rain Friday during the day. Rain comes in Friday night. How early will be the key. Once it starts, looks like it's setting in for the night and into Saturday. The rain moves out as Saturday goes along so Saturday night might be OK (hoping it doesn't rain too heavy). Sunday looks pretty good.

Remember, that's just what I read. It could turn out to be right or wrong info.
