Next Sunday June 24th the Kokomo Speedway will be honoring one of the best guys to every put a wrench to a sprint car, Bob was also one of the best friends a person could have. Come out and enjoy a night of close racing for the Sprint cars, Hornets and Thunder cars. Pit gates open @ 3.00 GA @4.00 Hot laps 6 with racing to follow.

As you probably already know Kokomo doesn't mess around they get the show going on time and get you on the road at a decent hour sometimes before the sun goes down.

Also on tap will be the Kokomo Quarter Midget club setting up out front to let you see the stars of the future up close and personal before the show.

As always for a couple bucks extra you can take a tour of the pits before they fire motors with Josh Spencer, so far the people that have went down for the tour have all been satisfied meeting the drivers and crew up close without being in the way. All money collected will go to the drivers at the end of the year so you are not only getting to tour the pit's with Josh and Shannon you are putting money in a drivers pocket, a win win

Hope to see you all Sunday June 24th at the baddest bullring in the world.

First person that comes by our trailer with Josh this week will get a special treat if you mention that you saw this on Open Wheel. Ask to see Carla!

So is this on the list of things to do Sunday? Going to be a great night of racing at the same time honoring an amazing man.

Don't forget to check out the future of racing with the Kokomo Quarter Midget Club as the Staff at the Kokomo Speedway has let them set up at the tract to showcase the up and coming race drivers of our sport.

Also Steve, Carla Phillips, Frank Daigh and sponsors of the #71 Shane Cottle ride has offered a surprise for the first person that takes the tour with Josh and Shannon before they fire motors, pay the couple bucks and be the first to their trailer to get a gift from one of the great teams in Sprint Car Racing.

Please don't forget to thank the track crew for giving us all an amazing place to race and watch racing in the great state of Indiana.

Today is the big day, weather is absoulutly perfect, sun is out and it is warm so come out and watch the best drivers in the world race for the win in the Bob Darland Memorial.

Get there early and check out the stars of the future as the Quarter Midgets will be on display.

Also the first person with Josh and Shannon on the tour gets a gift package from the #71 Steve and Carla Phillips racing team. Be with Josh be the first person to shake Steve and Carlas hand and say thank you its as easy as that.

Going for the first time since they installed seats on the back stretch. Is it better back there or on the front?

Enjoy the night. i hope to be there too. backstretch is great. just keep an eye on wind direction though. it normally blows into turn one so you would be good but every now and then, it blows into the backstretch. 8-10 rows and up should be clear of any mud.
