It is a lot more travel to run with WoO, but they actually ran 71 Shows this year, because of all the Rain Outs. Schatz still Won just shy of $600,000! Not to shabby and $150,000 for the Points. 3/4 of a Million! Even after his cut, he earned a damn good living. Several others earned a decent living too.

I've heard from a pretty good source that when shatz wins a few select higher paying shows his cut of the winnings is 100%.

Well, that would be rare, but Tony may do that with him on select big paying events.

Johnny Gibson in his Knoxville fan forum said the driver percentage can range between 40-60%. Most of those guys make a ton on T-shirt sales as well.

Cause he’s the macho man and has 3 kids to support! Closest thing we got to BC as far as how many races he does a year.

Normally 40-50% is very common depending on where you finish. Maybe 60% on a 25 Grand or above paying show.

I saw a quote from Bobbi Johnson that said the team $341,000 inexpenses not counting equiptment. Because they hit many tracks only once a year, they do well with merchandise.

That's a fact, Even Schats team would have lost a bundle without sponsors,
Drivers can make some $$$ Maybe a dozen or so do it for a living, Most have day jobs.

Some of the well known drivers, Even wingless can do a bang up T shirt buisness.

If you did well in all three USAC divisions, You could do pretty well as a driver and still be home most weeks and often in your own bed race night when racing IN-OH-IL

There’s a lot more than a dozen that are full time. All 13 Outlaws, several all stars, A few back in Central Pa and the Midwest. There’s at least 30 if not more 410 winged guys that do it for a living.

These guys need a raise!
When you say "raise". Does that also mean ticket price?
