It was a hell of a race. Rogers led the whole way, but had to fend off challenges from AJ Hopkins and Jake Scott. It was a great night for Scott, as so many of the night's greatest battles involved him. Beginning with him nearly taking a heat race win away from Hopkins, in the third heat. It was so close it was hard to tell who had crossed the line first. Then with his battles moving up through the top five, in the feature. First, with Ricky Lewis. Then with Hopkins for second. He then gave Rogers the toughest challenge for his lead that he had the whole race. And eventually, a second battle with Hopkins, as the race wound down, to see who would end up with the runner up spot. The battles up front grabbed my attention so much that I was oblivious to the fact that Josh Cunningham had went from 24th to 6th. And Rogers is just becoming such a good driver.

There were several races out there tonight, with a lot of total drivers. If anybody saw a better race than we did, congratulations to them. Because these guys really put on a show.

Jerry

Always enjoy your race recaps Jerry. You have a hidden talent of explaining a race very well just as if it’s happening. Thank you
