BOSS / Fremont Make-Up Event This Saturday

The 2019 race season will be remembered for a long time for the stranglehold Mother Nature had in the spring. The Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series lost seven of the first 10 scheduled races to inclement weather. Two of those were events at Fremont Speedway, located on the Sandusky County Fairgrounds, in Fremont, Ohio. Fortunately, the Fremont Fair Board and BOSS both wanted to make sure an event was completed in 2019. This Saturday, July 13th will see the pair attempt to keep the streak alive. First announced in 2011, BOSS kicked off its first full season with an event at Fremont in May of 2012. Since then, Fremont has been the longest continually scheduled race track on the tour with at least one event completed every season.

The BOSS race teams are thankful to be invited to join this weekend's Roots' Poultry & Fort Ball Pizza Throwback Night! Also on the card are the winged 410 sprint cars and the 305 winged sprint cars. This ALL sprint car show is always a great one and a great value for open wheel fans. Both gates will open at 4 pm with racing action underway at 7. Adult general admission is just $20 with seniors $18, students $15 while kids 10 and under are free.

For teams competing, pit passes will be $35. No mufflers are required. Cars must be on four corner Hoosier Race Tires. This is an "open" Hoosier rule. The payout will be the standard $1500 to win / $250 to start purse. Cars WILL qualify during hot laps within their groups. As always, there are no membership fees or entry fees to race with the series.

Heat race money will be provided by: TCB Speed, the BOSS Parts Supplier, Hoosier Race Tire and Performance Powder Coating. Heat race cash will be paid to the top 4 in the amounts of $40, $30, $20, $10. Also, seven bonus awards are up for grabs courtesy of The Bridge Restaurant of Sidney, All Star Performance Products, Cowen Truck Line, Mark Cole Insurance Agency, All Pro Cylinder Heads, Hoosier Race Tire, and Apple Metal Polishing.
