While station at Fort Sill Okla. in 1964 I hooked a ride any way I could to get to Lawton Speedway every Saturday night as I recall. I remember Wayne winning most if not all "super" races that summer. As my memory has faded I don't remember many details but I do remember he was a tough SOB.
