It does suck, it was the closest track to me. I hardly ever attended unless there's an open wheel show. Saw a lot of cool stuff there, some of my earliest racing memories are from there. I still say they should have plowed it up and tried it but it's too late now. RIP Illiana, we're going to miss you

2024 Season: Race 1 - April 20th Brownstown (Crate LM). Unlike many I don't discriminate on what racing I choose to watch.

I know some dirt tracks have had issues (Danville IL for a recent example), but it seems that pavement racing is really falling on hard times. From Nascar all the way down. I'm sure there are some healthy pockets but I seem to hear about a lot of pavement tracks shutting down.

Certainly aren't as many eyeballs on the Nascar stuff as there used to be.
