BRICKYARD VET LANDON CASSILL LANDS RIDE FOR BC39

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (August 29, 2018) – With the much-anticipated debut of midget racing at Indianapolis Motor Speedway just around the corner, Bell Racing USA has partnered with Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series competitor, Landon Cassill, to field an entry in the inaugural Driven 2 Save Lives “BC39” presented by NOS Energy Drink set to run on September 5th-6th.

“My longtime supporters at Bell are a really cool group of people who stood behind me with the #HireLandon movement on Twitter last fall,” said Cassill. “I’m honored they have taken the next step to literally hire me and have some fun out on the dirt.”

Piloting a No. 21X entry for the Brooke Shuman Motorsports group based out of Indianapolis, Cassill will wheel a Chevy powered BOSS Chassis sponsored by Bell Racing USA. The event will run on Wednesday and Thursday, September 5th-6th ahead of the Big Machine Vodka 400 at the Brickyard which races at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Sunday, September 9th. Following his action in the “BC39” with Brooke Shuman Motorsports, Cassill will return to his duties in the NASCAR Cup Series as he drives a StarCom Racing entry in Sunday’s race.

“We are proud to hire and work with Landon Cassill for the BC39,” stated Bell Director of Motorsports, Chris Wheeler. “Being able to participate with a Bell Athlete willing to step over from the asphalt side of the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway onto the dirt is truly exciting for our brand.”

A longtime supporter of Bell Racing USA, Cassill has been trusting Bell Helmets to keep him safe for almost a decade now. The 29-year old native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa began racing on quads when he was three years old and has since built a successful career in the motorsports world that includes 2008 NASCAR Xfinity Series rookie of the year honors and a total of 276 races ran in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series over nine years. In the dirt world, Cassill has only competed in one IMCA Modified event, but he feels confident in taking on the task of a new challenge with the midgets.

Hitting the century mark on pre-entered drivers, this event hosted by Doug Boles and his staff at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is already one of the most-talked about events of the summer. Building a makeshift dirt track inside the turn three infield of the legendary 2.5mile big track, the newly-created dirt track is complete with concrete walls and fencing all the way around.

Located less than one-mile away from the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the Bell Racing USA Indy Pro Shop on Main Street in Speedway, Indiana. Established earlier this year, the company based out of Champaign, Illinois expanded their market with an Indianapolis motorsports division that has been thriving ever since.

Race fans are encouraged to visit the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Wednesday and Thursday, September 5th-6th as Landon Cassill pilots the Bell Racing USA sponsored No. 21X in the inaugural running of the Driven 2 Save Lives “BC39” presented by NOS Energy Drink on the dirt track in the turn three infield. With over 100 entries set to do battle, it is sure to be a thrilling show as the most iconic facility in motorsports adds another piece of history.

Be sure to follow along with all of the fun on our social media platforms at @BellRacingUSA.
