Were down to about Less than 24hrs untill the 16th annual Freedom 40 at Atomic Speedway, and the 1st ever event for the newly formed Renegade Sprint Car Series. There has been a lot of talk about whos running where and so on, so we have put together a list of drivers that have confirmed that they will be in attendance Sat night at Atomic Speedway. There is a couple drivers that have confirmed to be running the Renegade Series that have prior obligations and will not be attending The Freedom 40 but will be competing with the series at a later date. So here is a preliminary list of drivers that should be in attendance Sat, Chad Kemenah, Greg Wilson, Dean Jacobs, Cole Duncan, Danny Smith, Randy Hannagan, Andrew Palker, Brian Sebetto, Rob Chaney, Brandon Wimmer, Caleb Helms, Ed Numeister, Taylor Ferns, Cody Swanson, Travis Philo, Ron Blair, Josh Davis, Aaron Higgins, Jimmy Stinson, Mark Coleman, Ryan Broughton, Jim Nier, Kory Crabtree, Nathan Skaggs, Brandy Bower, Mark Imler, Nate Resser, Adam Strausser, Jessie McCreary, Randy Fink, Todd Kane, Caleb Armstrong, Cody Gardner, Jeff Conrad, Bryan Knuckles ,Sam Ashworth and Eddie Sloan. A few others that are possibilites but havent confirmed are Kody Kinser, Gary Taylor, Wes McGlumpy, Ryan Myers, Dean Kester, Chris Myers, Jamie Myers, Jimmy Light, Jason Dolick and Tony Beaber. With Atomic Speedway being one of the nations top dirt tracks, there is always the possibility that several other drivers may show up in hopes of taking home the $5000 top prize and a guaranteed starting spot in the 1st annual Open Wheel Championships that will be held Oct 23-25 which will pay the winner a whopping $15000 to win and $1000 to start. If you dont have this Oct date marked on your calender, you need to. This event will see 24 drivers do battle for the $15000 top prize and will also see 20 others who dont qualify for the big show battle it out in the Charlie McCann non qualifiers race that pays $2065 and $200 to start. Thats right, 44 winged drivers will be competing in a feature event on the final night of the OWC as well as the Non Wing Sprints running for $5000 to win, and the open wheeled Modifieds running for $5000 to win and an additional $5000 bonus if a driver can claim all 3 features at the OWC. There is also going to be a 10 car 10 lap dash for all 3 divisions that will pay $1000 to the winners.
