Devin
You forgot the part about working the simulators, I am Jeff Ziesemer a race fan who thinks sprint car racing is like crack, was introduced to this sport by my Dad. Mainly attend Lawrenceburg and USAC events. By Devins standards I am an old man but by many on this board I am a whipper snapper. Some of the nicest people I have ever met have been at the track.

I am Carey Akin, of Manvel Texas. I attended my first race at Hangtown Speedway back in the early 70's and was instantly hooked. I ended up announcing there at Hangtown, too, for a couple of years before I left and headed off to college. I have crewed on winged sprints, late model stocks, bombers and modifieds. In the last few years, I have picked up a camera (with mixed results IMHO) and am having a go at taking pictures. I still am not ready to give up my day job as an insurance adjuster, serving the energy and marine industries. I try to get to Indiana at least once a year, and have been lucky enough to make it twice last year, and again planning two trips for this year.

Oh, and I started that annoying "Picture of the Day" thing. I will start rotating some new pictures in May, when I finally get back up there. I do cover the local Houston area racing scene, so visit my site and see what we race down here.

Oh, and I won't talk about age. . . . .

Be sure to visit www.manvelmotorsports.com. 2024 Robert Ballou Calendars are available.

My name is Jaryd Chambers I am a Lance Corporal in the United States Marine Corps.... I am staitioned in Jacksonville North Carolina at Marine Corps Air Staition New River where I am an Aviation Information Systems Specialist... I turn 20 in about a month, so I'm just a young buck, but my love for racing of just about any type started a long time ago... I grew up around it drove some quarter midgets and go karts before moving to the fender side driving stock cars before leaving for the Corps... I consider myself a student of the sport, and am currently working on a degree in Journalism... One day I'd like to be involved with racing in some capacity to make a living.... I am engaged and deploying in MAY

My name is Neil Cavanah and I am an 18 year old senior in high school. I live in the middle of tin top land also called Frankfort Kentucky. I have family that lives in Henderson Ky which is about 30 min south of Haubstadt. My dad has been taking photos at Haubstadt for a long time, and now he has company as I will be in my second year of taking pictures at the ¼ mile speed plant. JJ Yeley is my favorite racers because of his driving style and he is just a cool guy to hang around with. My younger brother has become a big Daron Clayton fan so that’s how my username came to be. I am a huge University of Kentucky sports fan (not doing so well this year) but will be attending Western Kentucky University this fall to work on getting a business degree. So it looks like I will need to root for two collages now.

I am Gregg Sebald of Cincinnati, Ohio. I'm married and 57 years old and work for a material handling company in sales. I attended my first race (AAA midget) in 1955 at the now defunct Cincinnati Race Bowl. I've been hooked ever since. I mostly go to USAC events and a few local shows at the 'burg. I go to a couple of IndyCar events each season. I will be going to my 50th consecutive Indy 500 this year. My favorite race is the Little 500.

I am just a fan so somtimes I get very little respect around here.

I like racing, racing and racing. Stick and ball sucks.

Be careful, keep your head down, your mouth shut & your eyes open and you should be O.K.

Oh, and good luck with your deployment, too!
