ALL COAST CHALLENGE TO OFFER SPRINT CAR RACING, BEATLES MUSIC AND FUN AT THE VENTURA RACEWAY!

(Ventura, CA, April 2, 2015) Race organizer Mike Grosswendt is promising a great night of racing, nostalgic Beatles music and fan fun when the All Coast Challenge takes place at the gorgeous beach side Ventura Raceway on Saturday night, May 9th. The Amsoil USAC/CRA Sprint Cars will be the only class racing on the program. It will be the only night the 12-year series appears at Ventura in 2015. Spectator gates will open at 3:00 PM and qualifying will begin at 5:30.

The race is expected to draw one of the largest car counts on the 2015 USAC/CRA championship schedule. The 30-lap main event will pay $5,000.00 to win and $500.00 to start. The winner will also receive a specially designed, one of a kind trophy. In addition to the regular stars and cars of the West Coast’s number-one sprint car series, including Damion Gardner, Mike Spencer, Matt Mitchell, Brody Roa, Jake Swanson and the Williams brothers, the prestigious race is expected to draw teams from the local VRA(Ventura Racing Association) organization, Northern California and Arizona. Grosswendt is offering Arizona teams that tow to the race $500.00 in tow money to be a part of the affair.

“I want this race to have a real party atmosphere,” Grosswendt said. “I am determined to make this as special of an event as possible. I want everyone to come have fun, see a great race and be on their way home before 10:00. Last year we had a lot of people show up who had not been to Ventura in a while. This year we expect to see them back along with some others who have not been there for a long time.”

Wanting to make it more than just a race, a special public address system is being brought in for the show along with a guest DJ. Other than the National Anthem at the start of the night, the only tunes played will be from The Beatles with a heavy emphasis on their early releases. During intermission, there will be a special dance contest held for kids 12-years-old and under on the walkway on the main grandstands and the winner is going to take home a very special prize (to be announced in the upcoming weeks). There will also be a big t-shirt giveaway.

Grosswendt is also bringing in longtime Perris Auto Speedway announcer Scott Daloisio to call the action for the show along with Ventura promoter Jim Naylor.

Adult tickets for the race are $25.00. For seniors 60 & older, active military with id and students with id it is $15.00. Kids age 7-12 are $10.00 and children 6 and under are free.
