Neat topic. I would probably be like the late JW Hunt, travel to the races and tracks that I want to see and spend money building up some race purses and supporting my favorite drivers and tracks Not sure I would want to own a car or a track.

Both! My grandparents built and ran a successful track in Michigan in the late 40's till the 60's. With me, it would be a race track 1st. I have always wanted to promote concerts and tracks but lack the capital. H, it cost me enough to just attend races all year. Can't fathom the cost of a team or the risk of running a track.

my daydream is to dabble in both. I live in Tipton so my closest track is Kokomo. lucky me!!

I too would like to throw in JW hunt prizes now and again or turn Smackdown 10 into $100K to win, $5k to start and a $5k hard charger award. $2k non transfer B, $1K non transfer C, $500 tow and a smorgasbord of contingency and lap prizes... or the same concept but add an event. Call it the Grain Bin Nationals @ Kokomo Speedway. Regardless, The flying Toasters will still be there.

As far as cars, i’d have a 3 car team. One for myself to drive and one for a veteran that may not want to travel the USAC trail full time but still make a living. Negotiable, but offer a a $50k base salary plus % with incremental performance bonuses. As my heroes continue to age up and expand their family life at home, i just thought it’d be neat to be able to offer the best of both worlds.

The third car would be for a young up and comer. Again being in Tipton, it’d be great to be able to supplement locals Brayden Clark and or Aaron Davis to make sure a ride is available.

My car would be painted as tribute cars of some of my many influences thus far:
Gosnell / Coca Cola #7t
Jarrett Farms #1 & 5
Cubel Racing #12 Scott Fisher
Indiana Mack Hollingsworth #76
as well as icons from my youth like Kelly Kinser Shields 56 or Kerry Norris 5N.

My merch trailer would be done in a wrap of photos of family and loved ones while at the track or in the garage. Maybe even have the back of the hauler done with a life size photo of one of my uncle George Toney’s old open trailers from the 80’s with the tail of the car pointed at ya.

I’d have spare parts for everyone and everything but i’d also have a couple of dummy engine show cars. Anytime a sponsor needed a car at an event it was there. Every area parade and festival, it was there. So on and so on.

if only.... 😆

I'm thinking of a brand new INDOOR track . It would be in southern part of Indiana between Evansville and Bloomington. Building kinda like Chilli Bowl maybe little bigger so could run wingless sprints with the midgets, and if you know me YOU know its going to be dirt , well I do know where I can get gumbo already lol Run once a month with $8 to $10 big ones to win in both classes and $1500 to start. Purses will not be top heavy, but spread out though the field. Food and drink really reasonable like quarter pound burgers with cheese $3 bucks, maybe a huge prime rib sandwish for 5, or maybe open it up for several different food trucks , I"d make sure they kept their prices low, soft drinks a buck and beer 2 bucks a bottle. Series would be MSCS, USAC for sprints , Midgets USAC and PowrI conbined shows so we"d get 50 or more cars each show. Stay tuned in for more details I may get after another shot of Fireball and another "tote" lol Hold on Hold on !!!! Once a year a race for both classes like the Mopar Million, but admission $20 bucks, pit pass $30, Dam I need another shot. Building will be heated and air conditioning with newest vent system we can buy , no flume without opening doors.s
