In the fourteen previous Dick Gaines Memorial races, there has never been a repeat winner. Can Chase Stockon become the first driver to win this race multiple times?

Stockon will become the 135th driver for the Hoffman Race Team when he hits the track tonight in the Mean Green #69OT. An unfamiliar car should not hurt his chances of visiting Budweiser Victory Lane, as he won the 2014 Dick Gaines Memorial wheeling the Leary #30. A win tonight by Chase will also give the Hoffman's their second Dick Gaines Memorial win as they were victorious in 2009 with Jerry Coons, Jr. behind the wheel.

We had a shower come through here about 5:00 lasted less than 10 minutes but the start of tonight's racing will be a little delayed. Not expecting any more of the wet stuff though.

Does not look like you are going to miss much. Car count looks to be a disappointment for 3K to win.

We would be there but engine issues have caused us to miss a few weeks.

Really wanting to see the weekly carcount go up at the burg. Tire wear is a likely contributor to car count. I wonder if maybe it was $2k to win but 11-20 got an extra $100 how that would affect the car count. $400 to start would be no excuse to miss while $2k to win would still pull some of the usac caliber cars.

Just my .02.

Also, $3k to win brings big dogs, but it doesn’t bring more cars. Sandy has even brought that up in the past. Some of the middle of the pack guys go elsewhere when they think the big dogs will be in town. I think there is a happy medium available with higher purse from 11-20 while lowering the $$ amount to win brings a better quality of racing to Lawrenceburg.

I also applaud Lawrenceburg for upping the starting payout to $300. I just think less to win and more for mid pack to the back would bring more cars.

Car count not as bad as I originally thought. They have not announced a count yet. Quality group though Stockton in the 69 Hoffman here and Ballou.
