USAC REGIONAL SERIES PREVIEW: APRIL 9-10, 2021

Five of USAC’s regional divisions are in action this Friday and Saturday, April 9-10, in the states of Iowa, Pennsylvania, Virginia and California.

USAC ENGLER IMRA SPEED2 MIDGETS: Friday, April 9 – Lee County Speedway (Donnellson, Iowa)

Donnellson, Iowa (April 6, 2021)………On Friday night, April 9, the USAC Engler IMRA SpeeD2 Midgets take to the track for the first time in 2021 at Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa.* In six races at the track over the past two years, 2018-19 IMRA champ Andy Baugh (Mason City, Ill.) has won four times while 2020 champion Bryan Stanfill (Brea, Calif.) and Brent Burrows (Lewistown, Ill.) each won once, both in 2020.

Pit gates open Friday at 3pm CT with grandstands opening at 5:30pm, hot laps at 7pm and racing to immediately follow.* The event will also feature 410 winged sprint cars and late models.

Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $18 for age 60 and above, $15 for veterans, $10 for ages 11-17 and free for ages 10 and under.* Pit passes are $40 for adults, $20 for ages 7-13, $10 for ages 4-6 and $5 for ages 3 and under.

USAC EAST COAST SPRINT CARS: Saturday, April 10 – Port Royal Speedway (Port Royal, Pa.)

Port Royal, Pennsylvania (April 6, 2021)………The Rapid Tire East Coast Sprint Cars presented by Capitol Custom Trailers makes its third-ever visit to the Speed Palace of Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pa. this Saturday night, April 10.

Mark Bitner won the inaugural series trip there in 2018 while Alex Bright captured the most recent in 2020.* Briggs Danner (Allentown, Pa.) won the series’ season opener last Saturday at Bridgeport (N.J.) Speedway and leads the points coming in.

Three divisions will be in action along with the Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars and the Selinsgrove Ford Limited Late Models.

Front gates open at 3pm ET with racing set for 6pm.* General admission tickets for adults are $20 with students $10.* Pit passes are $30 apiece.

USAC EASTERN SPEED2 MIDGETS: Saturday, April 10 – Shenandoah Speedway (Shenandoah, Va.)

Shenandoah, Virginia (April 7, 2021)………The USAC Eastern SpeeD2 Midgets make their first appearance at Virginia’s Shenandoah Speedway for the series opener this Saturday, April 10.

Nolan Allison won the most recent race for the series at Shenandoah.* Jessica Bean (Farmland, Ind.) enters as the four-time and defending champion of the series.

Pits open at 1pm ET on Saturday with front gates opening at 5pm.* Practice starts at 2pm with qualifying and racing to follow.* Bandoleros, Legends, UCars, VA Sprints, Sportsman and Late Models join on the event card.* General admission tickets are $10 with pit passes $30.

USAC WESTERN STATES MIDGETS: Saturday, April 10 – Keller Auto Speedway (Hanford, Calif.)

After a hard fought battle at Bakersfield, the USAC Western States and Bay Cities Racing Association (BCRA) Midgets will clash this Saturday, April 10th, at Keller Auto Speedway.

Promoted by Peter Murphy, the “Open Wheel Madness” will also feature the winged Kings of Thunder 410 Sprints and the non-winged USAC West Coast Sprint Cars. The Pit Gates open at 1:00pm, Hot Laps are scheduled for 5:45pm, Time Trials at 6:00pm, and Racing will start at 7:00pm.

Due to local regulations, a limited number of grandstands tickets are available and must be purchased online at market.myracepass.com. Pit passes are available, and the event will follow COVID-19 protocols with face coverings required for people on the grounds.

Located at the Kings County Fairgrounds at 801 South 10th Avenue, more event information can be found at kellerautospeedway.com or visiting the track’s social media. Floracing.com will be on hand to broadcast a live stream of the races over the internet.

This Saturday, April 10th, the USAC West Coast Sprint Car Series will open their 2021 season at Keller Auto Speedway.
