The only one I have of Bill is last year at Putnamville. He gave us a bunch of Indiana Open Wheel decals to decorate the Indiana Open Wheel Kokomo Smackdown Awards bucket with,and then made the first donation. I didnt have my camera with me as I recall,so Monica Clauson let me use hers to take the photo with.

This year we'll use that bucket to collect money for a Bill Gardner memorial fund instead.

April 10, 2010. I drove down to LPS for a weekly show. As soon as I saw the yellow hauler I went to find that guy who ran IOW. He was kind enough to talk about the website and racing to a complete stranger. Godspeed Bill.

This is Brian at the 2004 Buckeye Nationals at Eldora. I didn't meet Bill on this day but a year later at Eldora I was with fellow pit rat Marv Fish when he said that we have to go to Brian Lee's (Hayden) pit because the guy that started the USAC Fans website is wrenching for Brian. We went there and Bill dropped what he was doing and talked with us for a few minutes that day. The only reason it wasn't longer is we didn't want to take too much of Bill's time away from prepping the car. If first impressions counted my opinion of him went through the ionosphere.

thanks for the pics bill loved his racing it wasnt for him i would have not returned to racing but im so glad i did after his surgery in 08 he said he just wanted to go back to victory lane a couple more times after i won 2 i told him ok thats it im done u said a couple lol he quickly changed it and we ended up with 27 wins. it was so much fun im glad we did it. i would like to say i was his favorite driver but bill liked and respected every race driver no matter what division. i could tell storys about that jack @ss all day so glad i have them
