Big half mile dirt. They’ve been battling to save it from the wrecking ball. Glad to see this event announced to give the old girl some new life.

The Kansas State Fairgrounds track has been renamed Salt City by the new promoter. The original Salt City Speedway is lying dead on the west side of Hutchinson.

Was that named Hutchinson raceway park at one time? I attended a WoO race there once many years ago. Track was well let’s just say kinda salty sandy dirt.
