WE REMEMBER

We take this pause to remember those who perished in the USAC aircraft accident on April 23, 1978, returning from the Indy Car race at Trenton, N.J. Lost were USAC Officials Frank DelRoy, Shim Malone, Ray Marquette, Don Peabody, Judy Phillips, Ross Teeguarden, Dr. Bruce White, Stan Worley, and the pilot, Don Mullendore. We will never forget them and their contributions.

AMEN. This was a ugly time for the USAC Indy car team. This came and it reached out to all racing community. They were all great people who loved racing also. Think of them
a lot. Thanks USAC.

If this would not have happened the entire face of racing would be different in this Country.USAC would probably still have the Speedway, our guys would still be getting chances at Indy, and the World of Outlaws probably would never had happened. It was that big of a moment in racing history. Don Peabody had many new and exciting ideas to bring USAC out of its doldrums. They are still trying to recover from this tragedy today.God bless them all. 39 years ago. Amazing.

The remains of these great people are buried in the Arlington, IN cemetery in western Rush County which is located close to the accident site. I have been asked by the president of the cemetery to attempt to secure a monument to honor them. As of now, there is nothing to mark their final resting place. If you have any thoughts or suggestions about securing a monument, please contact Larry Martz at 765-932-4214.
