Back in the day Paragon was the place to race, they had a good car count, but over the years the stands were never full except when it was a USAC show. I believe Keth Ford did his best to make the track go. What hurts Paragon the most is too many tracks running Sprints in one area on Friday and Saturday nights paying good money. Now that Indy has a new dirt track, this also hurts. Paragon could run some Sunday night shows and some mid-week shows. Just maybe Paragon should try some late model shows along with the race-saver sprints. I think who ever promotes Paragon will have good car counts but will they have the fans in the stands. I'm thinking who ever Promotes Paragon should think about Late Models and Race Saver Sprints, but a promoter would have to pay some good money to make this work.
Sunday nights will work if you can get the show over by 10:00 as most people who go to the races have jobs on Mondays. To speed things up draw numbers, hot laps from 6:30 to 7:00. Then have the sprint heats followed by maybe the Mods, Hornets and some nights the Race Saver Sprints could be worked in. It would take $2,000 to win for the sprints and $800 to win for the Mods. The Hornets are self-supporting as they bring lots of people and $150 to win would be plenty. If Circle City does this they will make it. The tracks that get the shows over by 10:00 are doing good that is if they have a good car count.
