We stopped by and wandered the grounds some around 6:30ish last night (this was between showers). At that time you could see standing water at the bottom of the track, though not a lot, and standing water where the cars head off the track/in the scale area. It looked like there might have been some in one of the grassy areas in the rear portion of the pits, but it was hard to tell without being able to get back there. The lower lot was soft in spots, squishing underfoot as we'd walk and was holding puddles of water in the one area that has a bit of gravel. Other areas seemed solid. The track itself had been carved by the rains...you could see the rivulets where the water had just drained down the banking. But you could also see where Mike had been trying to working on it.

Honestly, from what we saw, we could see it going either way. If he decides to go for it, he could wind up with some seriously torn up grounds if there isn't enough sun and wind to dry things up. If he cancels again, he risks angering fans and drivers who want to see/go racing. The only thing I know for certain is that I don't envy him. It didn't seem the fans had much faith in him running though...we counted only 14 chairs out to mark seats.

You must have not went up by turn 4 there were 40 to 50 chairs out up in that area and I was there at 6 stopped by this morning to put out dry chairs and there were more and 5 or 6 cars dropping off more mikes already there running around, they'll get it in

Nope, we didn't go up to turn four, just to the first section of stands coming up the hill. Most of our focus was on the track and the grounds. At that time, the only chairs we saw were in that first section and those right in front of the tower. No biggie. Hopefully they do get it in. Although the lack of sun and wind at the moment can't be helping matters much. At least it's not doing the "r" word.

what they really have to worry about is the pits with all the larger rigs trying to park without getting stuck and or tearing his ground up to park on the north end of pits its usealy pretty soft after a rain either way im sure sombody will complain glad im not him.
