I see tomorrow's forecast is for sun all day. Is there anything other than getting the track ready which might cause them to have to cancel? Thinking of going over late this afternoon to find a camping spot on solid ground. Any info appreciated.

With around an inch and half or so of rain Dave has his work cut out for him.

I think Dave will do everything possible to get the track ready. Just wondering about the rest of the grounds. The countdown ticker is still on the website and I consider that a good sign.

VERY heavy rain in southern Indiana; I64 was closed westbound this morning between the 67 & 68 mile markers; a couple of semis were washed off the road and at least one of the drivers had to be rescued. Traffic was reported backed up for hours.

Lawrenceburg was actually on the good side of the band of showers. I heard South of them, Vevay on down into Kentucky they were supposed to get upwards of 3" of rain.

Right now in the Oakley/Madisonville section of Cincinnati the rain has stopped and the sun has been out since 2:00. The 'burg has probably been that way since shortly after 1:30. I'm sure the first race of the year and a big one at that Dave will have it ready by tomorrow.

I've seen it pour till 1pm on race day and still run. Infields a mess but track drains well. Will it widen out, that's the question? Last years opener was epic with JG splitting DD and Stanbrough on lap 8 restart.

Id worry more about next week when the rivers receding, and that won't be the track. but the area around it.

Seems like the river receding would be a good thing...

Is the beer cold?

Rain isn't going to stop me from seeing Isaac in the Goacher Racing 7g, haven't seen him in a sprint car in person. This combo has huge potiential if they can keep it going during the learning curve. Biased.

As a guy trying to bring in new fans and partners, this is the track I invite them too. A professional feel and atmosphere all the way around.
