Wilmot is an hour or so from Chicago, Milwaukee, and Rockford. I'd say it has more to do with that than the facility.

I went to a USAC race there in 1994, so they've also been at it a while.

Im sure most race dates are at the request of the host tracks. That said, I'd prefer a Plymouth/ Cedar Lake weekend.
