MAY MASTERS THE CLASS TRACK
23 cars signed in to the Tri-State Speedway- "The Class Track", the Southern Indiana quarter-mile located in Haubstadt, Indiana, for the night’s action, splitting the field into three heat races with all cars advancing to the A-Main. In the first heat, fourth starting Paul Nienhiser made his way to the front of the field to score the victory over Cory Bruns, Brayton Lynch, Kody Kinser and Jim Moughan who rounded out the top five. Paul May was victorious in the second heat over Joey Moughan who rallied from the fifth position to finish second. Jeremy Standridge finished third after a hard charge forward from eighth. 2018 points champion Jacob Patton came home fourth with Critter Malone completing the top five. The final heat saw Clinton Boyles pick up the win as Cale Thomas finished second. Seventh starting Jason Keith was able to make his way forward to finish third ahead of Dustin Barks and Mike Terry Jr who finished fifth. As the 25 Lap A-Main rolled off, it was Joey Moughan and Jason Keith who led the field to the green. Paul Nienhiser and Joey Moughan tangled early in the event, which led to a 20th-place finish for Nienhiser, while Moughan was able to continue on. Sixth starting Paul May made his way forward, taking the lead from Cory Bruns late in the race and pulling away to victory. Bruns was able to secure second from a hard charging Critter Malone, who finished third after a 14th-place start to complete the podium. Saturday’s victory for May, was his second career win with the MOWA Sprint Car Series. The Built Ford Tough MOWA Sprint Car Series Delivered by Morrow Brothers Ford, Inc. returns to action next weekend with a Memorial Day Weekend Doubleheader! Friday night, May 24, the MOWA Sprints will invade Jacksonville Speedway for the second event of 2019 at the Morgan County Fairgrounds. Saturday night, the series will make the trip to Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Missouri.
