First of all, thanks David for a very interesting thread. Very difficult for me to narrow it down to just five. I better get going and hit some of these so I can add more to the bucket. Here goes.

1)Oswego-Home of the Supers-Nothing more needs to be said.
2)Thunder Road-Home of the Milk Bowl-Never been to this part of the country
3)Oskaloosa-Not been to the Challenge and hear many good things.
4)Perris-Another part of the country not seen and I would like to have the adventure that our ex-mailman had. Take the train and see many other parts of this country.
5)Angel Park-Home to the Pepsi Midget Nationals

Here are some that I would like to return to but it won't happen.
1)Warsaw Speedway
2)North Wilksboro Speedway
3)Queen City Speedway
4)Mansfield Speedway
5)USA International Speedway

Here are five that I would have loved to have seen but as they say, "timing is everything". RIP.
1)New Bremen
2)Dayton
3)Manzanita
4)Langhorne
5)Jennerstown

Also, Russ I hope you make it out to Gas City. We would enjoy meeting you and talking with you. Dick, I can tell you that Andrew isn't lying about Belle Clair. A must see if you are a midget fan. And Lloyd, Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap is definitely worth the trip. A crazy little joint for sure.

The milk bowl is a cool race for pavement Late Models 3 segments with a total invert to each segment, and the race is won in total points 1 point for winning 2 points for 2nd etc. Lowest pointscore is the winner that gets to kiss the cow in victory lane. It was a great race back in the Dave Dion,Dragon Brothers etc time frame

Surprised you didnt add in the Oxford 250,although it was way better in the Bob Bahre days.

As I said, they only gave me five. You gotta love any race where the winner has to kiss a cow.

Here is my list of tracks, and the type of racecar I'd like to see on them, that are no longer in existence where I sorely wish I had witnessed a race.

Ohhh, to be able to turn back the hands of time and see these places in action again!

#1. The Big Left Turn, Langhorne Speedway, Langhorne, PA-Champ Cars
#2. Ascot Park, Gardena, CA-real sprint cars
#3. The Beach/Road Course, Ponce Inlet, FL-stock cars
#4. Lakewood Speedway, Atlanta, GA-Champ Cars or Stock Cars
#5. 3rd Street Speedway, Streator, IL-Don't care what they run as long as Ol' Bob "Two Gun" Tattersall is racing!

As many of you who have visited my website or know me personally (not many), I enjoy almost all forms of motorsports.

Davidm, great post by the way. Pretty tough to narrow it down. This is one of those replies I know is gonna take forever to get through. I have been to several of the events or tracks listed and they are some great choices.

Five tracks and or races you should go to if you haven't (in my opinion):
1.Any major 24 hour endurance road race ie. The 24 hours of Daytona, nothing like eating breakfast at Cracker Barrel when you can hear the roar of engines over the waitress at 5:00 AM.
2. Ventura - The commotion by the ocean, rumble by the sea. Any track you can see the ocean from the grandstands at is pretty cool.
3. Ohsweken Speedway - A 3/8 mile dirt track that is home to the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals. Located on a First Nations reserve, just an hour east of Niagara Falls. Track owner Glenn Styres lives just outside turn 2 and there is a warmup track just outside turn 3. They are contemplating running 360 non wing in 2012. A top notch facility that gets better every year
4. Eldora - pizzaburgers
5. Bulls Gap - High banked and you can sit in your car on the back stretch and watch the races.

And the 5 I hope to check off.

1. Angel Park for the Midget Nationals, just seems to have that nostalgic feel to it.
2. Bowman Grey Stadium, just has that bottled up excitement look to the place.
3. Boone for the IMCA Nationals. Any track that gets reworked that often, and has a few hundred cars race over that week.
4. Skagit, never been to the NW of the US, need to hear the locals pronounce it.
5. Knoxville - lots of history, one of those race I always watch on TV.

I've been blessed to go to a lot of places everyone else wants to go to, I had to think a little.

Knoxville, non wing, say what you want about the Nationals, but no wings for me.

Angel Park

The Ditch, unfortunately this would have to be with wings, only way they run.

Pikes Peak Hillclimb

Belleville Nationals, been out there, but not for a race That place is truly the middle of nowhere.

Places I wish I could have seen.

The Horne

Ascot

Dayton

Ft.Wayne's big dirt track of the 40's and 50's

Nutley Velodrome, those guys were crazy

One more night at where it all started for me , Norwood Arena, when coupes and coaches ruled.
