DuQuoin, midgets at the Southern Illinois Center on December 17
I think this is the same day as the big late model and mods race at the dome in St. Louis. I know it's apples and oranges, but still wish they weren't scheduled on same day. |

The one in St. Louis is a three day show at least. Is kind of a bummer for someone like me who enjoys both LMs and midgets though.

Ive yet to see a first time dirt track work out the way its supposed to, Which is what St. Louis will probably be.
DuQUion had their S**T together with three wide racing. See you the 17th which will cut my off season to three and a half months.

Definitely going to DuQuoin, I like the idea of the indoor stuff in St. Louis but their entry lists look awful big for a first time event on a small track.

the people that promoted the indy invitational is the same ones promoting the race in St Louis. might want to give it a year or 2 before wasting money on that.

The dome is St Louis is an ex football dome. It's way bigger than the basketball arena they used in Indy. It would be like using Lucas Oil Stadium in Indy.
Here is a track rendering of the St Louis layout. http://www.gatewaydirt.com/store/track-renderings/ I'm sure DuQuoin will be a better show.

Hope to make it. Going to try to hit March too. Have trouble getting off on Saturdays, so Dec is tougher.

Indy indoors kinda broke me from indoor dirt racing unless it's the chili bowl. However I would consider the St Louis race if it were midgets but late models and modifieds are twice as big as a midget so I suspect the track may be too crowded. Many of you have said DuQuoin is a good deal but the 4 hour plus ride is a deterrent

The March 2016 USAC midget race at Du Quoin was an 8 hour marathon of sorts. The racing seemed to progress much quicker and more efficient when POWRi was running the shows. Hopefully they get that figured out.
It's about 4.5 hours one way to Du Quoin for us so a motel stay is a must but up until March it was always well worth it.
